Bob Menendez's Speech to The Senate

Bob Menendez addressed the senate on June 11, 2008 on immigration. Menendez brought up the topic of immigration and called out The Department of Homeland Security for pulling an immigrant girl from her home and treating her and her family like animals while in fact they were US citizens. The DHS and the American public are attacking immigrants and denying them rights and treating them inhumanely. "But these aren’t undocumented immigrants getting pulled from their homes in the dead of night. They are US citizens who are targeted because of their race, targeted because of their color. Denied every fundamental right guaranteed by the United States Constitution." Bob Menendez addressed the serious issue of immigration reform and the rights that immigrants should be entitled too. Menendez help bring up the issue that no one else was willing too, he brought up the flaws in the US government like how harsh the American peple
